Aethyta whistled as she stepped into the… what even was it? A foyer? A vestibule? An antechamber? It was bigger than the lobby at her handler’s office. This could not be the place. The acolyte who let her in disappeared through a wide door, leaving her alone. Aethyta walked around the cool marble floors, dragged her fingers over the decorative tables. Not a speck of dust.
“Someone’s living the highlife,” she muttered to herself. Of course, this was obviously all a prank. No way the pretty matron at the bar was living like this. That shit was for the vids.
