Dagna stared with baited breath and tense eyes. Each second was an eternity as her heart thumped in her chest. On the table in front of her sat a poorly carved brick. It was an ugly brick, with sharp points and an uneven shape. The perfect sacrifice to her testing. If she could just get it to-
A bright burst of green light spiked suddenly up out of the rock She dove to the ground and curled on herself, covering the back of her neck with her thick-gloved hands.
